Mycology and Plant Disease Laboratory

The Mycology and Plant Pathology Laboratory (LAMFU) started on November 2005 with the main objective of developing high quality research on medical and plant pathology. The laboratory has contributed to scientific knowledge in these areas, through scientific articles and collaborations with other important research centers.

Today, we have four main groups of research:

i)   Phytophthora

ii)  Xanthomonas

iii) Fungi: Medical Mycology, Batracochytridium dendrobatidis, Fusarium, etc.

  1. iv)Genomics and Bioinformatics

The outstanding work accomplished in these research areas, the quality of the services provided and the high level of the laboratory researchers, has made LAMFU a recognized laboratory both at a national and international level.
